Cap Rando offers flexible riding holidays in Provence, including three day and weekend vacations or longer training or inn to inn equestrian vacations. Choose the training and trail riding vacation and spend your days and nights at the Mas de Recaute riding center near Lauris. On inn to inn vacations, ride Spanish or Barb mixes to new places during your days. Travel through the iconic Camargue on horseback, where French cowboys and white horses, black bulls and magnificent flamingos roam. Explore Grand Luberon around Cereste and Luberon Nature Park. Learn French and shop. Enjoy great food and wine. Riders spend about 5-6 hours per day in the saddle, riding 2-3 hours the morning and 2-3 hours the afternoon.
Evening meals are local dinners in restaurants or guesthouses. Typical “daube provencale” meals are made with tender beef cooked in red local wines with plenty of Provence herbs and local olive oil. At lunch, nice buffets are prepared with local and fresh food. Provence has some of the best cuisine in France with the best fruits and vegetables.
Guests stay in simple but comfortable en-suite bedrooms in typical little hotels and guesthouses. The main riding center, Mas de Recaute, is a charming farmhouse.
