The ranch has a superb hands-on horseback riding program, unguided riding opportunities, top notch food, and peaceful, comfortable setting. With over 150 horses, it’s a bona fide horse lover’s paradise. At Southern Cross Guest Ranch, guests are encouraged to interact with horses.

This Georgia ranch is celebrating their 25^th Anniversary this year. The ranch hosts single adult travelers, families, reunions and corporate groups looking to unwind and enjoy all that the ranch has to offer.

What Makes This Riding Vacation Unique?

Southern Cross Guest Ranch is unique in being a guest ranch in the state of Georgia and also for offering guided and unguided riding. The relaxed riding program allows qualified guests to trail ride on their own if they choose. Horses are matched for novice and experienced riders alike with lessons available upon request (nominal fee).

Horseback riding is the featured activity at Southern Cross. Horses outnumber guests by more than 7 to 1, so there’s sure to be a horse right for you. The climate in Georgia is great for horseback riding year round. The riding program even allows qualified guests the unique opportunity to ride on their own if they desire, but small guided groups are always available. You’ll be encouraged to groom and help tack the horses for a true hands-on and bonding experience.

Whether you want to ride lazily across beautiful open pastures or trot and canter through lush wooded trails, Southern Cross Ranch can accommodate your vacation goals. If you or a member of your group are not into horseback riding and don’t wish to start, there are non-riding plans available with reduced rates.

Food

All meals are served buffet style.  Lunch and dinner include full salad bar, dessert bar and beverages. Southern Cross Ranch’s magnificent chef and his team are able to accommodate special dietary restrictions and needs.

Accommodations

Sixteen guest rooms and a two bedroom family suite are pleasantly appointed featuring a King-sized bed, A/C, TV, DVD, complimentary wireless internet, phone and private bath. Premium rooms offer whirlpools, fireplaces, and extra nice views. Some rooms may have a King and Queen or King and twin bed arrangement.

Activities

The all-Inclusive plan includes two horseback rides and three meals daily, except in low season when only breakfast and lunches served.  The plan also includes continuous access to unlimited soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages, fresh-baked cookies, fresh fruits, snacks, and desserts as well as the pool. Other included activities include a game room (pool table, foosball, darts, table tennis, etc.), mountain biking, hiking, etc. Free wireless internet and a large DVD selection are available at no additional charge.
